Motivational Wednesday

I have always loved this quote by Maya Angelou. My name, Vanessa, means butterflies, as there are several species of them! (if you didn’t know that you learned something new)

I think this quote means so much to me because as I am so happy where I am in my life thus far, it wasn’t an easy journey, not by a long shot. I think I am great at putting on a smile on my face and seeming like I don’t have a care in the world, but this butterfly has many scars. Yet, I still blossomed. And I am so thankful.

The would lost a beautiful star today. Ever since I read “How The Caged Bird Sings,” I’ve loved Maya Angelo. Haven’t read it in a long time but intend to pick it up soon.

R.I.P Maya Angelo. Thank you for inspiring so many for so many years. Your legacy, inspiration, and love will live on for generations to come.
